  • Chef Marko Antoine Cruz Sanchez and Chef Sofia Antillon’s beautiful restaurant, Nómada cocina de interpretación, where the now infamous and much celebrated tasting menu every Wednesday is just $400 pesos for 6 courses. I like the price but more important, Nomada uses the best ingredients you can buy. Experience the taste and you’ll agree that this is the best $390 pesos you’ve spent, even if it’s the only meal you eat out all week.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this is the restaurant that recently moved to a new location at Hernandez Macias #88. Opened by talented chef, Marco Cruz and his wife Sofia, this is a great addition to the SMA food scene. They also feature a tasting menu on Wednesday evenings. I loved my beet salad and a white fish with salsa verde. The mushroom risotto was also excellent. I went to their attractive new location and had a great meal with local friends. Had another fish entree. The presentation is always lovely.

Congratulations for your 6th place finish in the 2017 SMART Awards.

Any restaurant that opened in 2016 was eligible for the best new restaurant award. It went to the sixth place restaurant, quite an achievement for a rookie. Virtually every vote mentioned the talents and inventive techniques of chef Marco Cruz and his wife Sofia Antillon, the very skilled pastry chef of Nomada Cocina de Interpretación. Nomada is a foodie’s dream and I noticed that the votes for Nomada looked like a who’s who of this town’s foodies.
