You are invited to join us in a special event from the International Jazz and Blues Festival for MUSIC, DINNER AND DANCE on Friday, July 26 at 6:00 pm in the Restaurant Vinos + Tapas, Insurgentes # 63. Located in the city center, it has a small parking lot and a lift directly to the restaurant or terrace.
We will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Festival with two extraordinary shows. The first, “The Great American Songbook” will be performed during dinner. You can enjoy jazz classics such as Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart. We are proud to feature drummer and singer Bobby Kapp, a jazz master in San Miguel de Allende and in the US.
After dinner, we will present the second show dedicated to Soul and Motown.. In this group we will feature the prominent drummer Rick Schlosser, who has played with Diana Ross, Etta James, Rod Stewart, Lionel Richie and Van Morrison. Two extraordinary singers, Aurora Nunez and Maria Piedra will also participate and will perform the music of Steve Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, among others. Also featured are Julian Arcos (Vudu Chile) on guitar, Pablo Gonzalez (Mocedades) on keyboard and Antonio Lozoya (San Miguel Jazz Cats) on bass. What an ideal time to take to the dance floor and shake your booty!
For dinner there will be two menus, one for people who eat meat and another vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. The meat and some of the products that will be used for dinner come from Mexico City and will be slow-cooked for 8 hours to be able to obtain the ideal point, really a delight. Therefore it is important to buy your ticket at least four days in advance (by Monday, July 22) so that you can enjoy this fabulous meal. Upon arrival, there will be a complimentary drink. In the past when we featured shows like Motown or Soul, people wanted to dance and obviously in the theater it was complicated, so if you want to enjoy good music, good food and a space to dance do not hesitate to join us. It is a very attractive package and all in one place for only $1,100 pesos! I hope to see you this Friday, July 26!
Tickets are available at the restaurant Vinos + Tapas: Insurgentes 63, Centro, Zona Centro, 37700 San Miguel de Allende, Gto. Telephone: 01 (415) 152-2563.
