The second Saturday of every month at 1 PM
Bajada del Chorro #4
Centro (between Barranca & Recreo, above the Benito Juárez park).
The new location, which offers wonderful views of San Miguel, comes through the generous invitation of the Department of Culture and Traditions and its Director Paulina Cadena Gallardo.
Music Under the Trees concerts are held on the second Saturday of each month and open to the public at no charge. The eclectic series brings vibrant, high-quality music in an intimate setting performed by local and national performers.
For the remainder of the 2019 season, Music Under the Trees will be promoted by the city of San Miguel de Allende, which has been awarded the 2019 Cultural Capital of the Americas designation. The city is promoting cultural events throughout the year.
This important designation is the result of San Miguel’s artistic and architectural contributions to Mexican culture. The year-long designation promotes cultural integration across the Americas while respecting national and regional diversity, and highlighting a common cultural heritage. Mexico now leads other Latin American countries with five Cultural Capital designations.
Music Under the Trees, which is part of the San Miguel Chamber Music Festival, reflects some of these important cultural aims by offering concerts with notable musicians, free of cost. The annual festival will announce the lineup of performers for its 41st season soon.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear first-rate musicians perform in a beautiful setting.
