The festival will start tomorrow, at 2pm, complete with food sales, skating demos and performances by 6 local bands. This all leads up to the Mexican rock concert by Molotov.
The festival aims to bring together multiple genres and audiences. Molotov is a rock and comedy rap band from Mexico City who have been performing songs with dueling Spanish and English lyrics. They blend heavy guitar riffs with basslines intertwined with clever, yet sometimes politically-charged lyrics. Each member has a different style which allows them to fuse various genres including cumbia, funk, rock and rap. All members sing and they switch instruments often, so you never know who will be playing what!

The government of San Miguel de Allende invested 6 million 238 thousand 591 pesos in the “Foro San Miguel”, which will have a capacity of 4 thousand people. The venue will open on May 12, 2017 at 8pm, with a concert by Lila Downs. “At least 5 years, other administrations stalled this work,” recalled the municipal president, Ricardo Villarreal García. He added that the current government activated the work in early August; built the parking lot for general services and artists, the sanitary module, the acoustic shell, electrical installation, basement, dressing rooms, stage and steps. The site will house 4,000 people, divided into two sections: seats and talud with a capacity of 1,924 and 2,000 attendees, respectively, said Zonia Torres, head of Economic Development and Tourism and Guillermo González, Manager of the Tourist Council. In the framework of the 475th anniversary of San Miguel de Allende opens the Forum, as a space for events, concerts, musical shows and theater; “Will complement the tourist offer (…) and help to free the historic center and the heritage area so that the Sanmiguelenses and visitors have new options.” Tickets are on sale in e-ticket, in the offices of Economic Development and Tourism and the Tourist Council; ranging from 100 to 1,000 pesos. However there will be free tickets for those Sanmiguelenses who present a copy of the IFE or proof of domicile (to prove their residence). It will only be one ticket per person. These tickets will be granted in the facilities of the Tourist Board, as well as in the Directorate of Economic Development and Tourism -
