    DR ROBERTO LUIS MAXWELL MARTINEZ

    CRITICAL CARE & CARDIOPNEUMOLOGY PHYSICIAN

    Dr. Roberto Luis Maxwell Martínez is a graduate of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Later he specialized in Critical Medicine at ABC Hospital in  Mexico City, then did a fellowship in cardiopulmonary medicine at the National Heart Institute Ignacio Chavez, then did a post doctorate fellowship in cardiology and pulmonary and critical care medicine. He cares for his patients in San Miguel at MAC Hospital, Joya Hospital, and in Queretaro at San Jose Hospital, Star Medica hospital, Angeles hospital, at the Heart Institute of Queretaro located at the Tec 100 Medical Hospital in the city of Querétaro, Querétaro and at the MAC San Miguel Hospital in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.


    GRACE LIM
    INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

    Dr Grace Lim is a Canadian physician who received her medical degree from the prestigious Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. Her degree in the specialty of internal medicine is from the Universidad de Guadalajara, and her degree in the subspecialty of critical care medicine is from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. During her training, she had an internal medicine residency rotation in the Royal Victoria Hospital, a McGill-affiliated hospital in Montreal. Dr Lim has been practicing internal medicine for the past 10 years and critical care for 8 years in Mexico City and now has her private practice here in San Miguel. Dr. Lim grew up in San Miguel de Allende and has been recognized for her community services, leading a family charity feeding elderly poor called S.O.M.E (So Others May Eat, originally founded by her mother, Antonette Lim).


    EMILIO RAMIREZ
    EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

    Dr. Emilio Ramirez is originally from Celaya. He went for medical school to Universidad

    Autonoma de Guadalajara in 1990 then move to mexico city for emergency medicine residence 1997 at the net of the hospitals from the local health department where emergency medicine specialty was born in Mexico. Dr. Ramirez was hired by a retired emergency doctor in Puerto Vallarta for working on the ER in Amerimed hospitals from 2001 until 2016. During this time he also served as the ICU director at the IMSS hospital for 9 years. In 2016, he served as the medical director at Unimed for 2 years and subsequently moved to Mac hospital while continuing to work at IMSS at Celaya general hospital. Since 2019, Dr. Ramirez started working at hospital Joya as primary care doctor in morning times and as emergency doctor at IMSS in Celaya in the afternoons.


    RICARDO GORDILLO
    GENERAL PRACTICE PHYSICIAN

    Dr. Werner Ricardo Gordillo is director of The Clinic. Dr. Gordillo is of German and Mexican heritage and he speaks German, English and Spanish. He is a general practitioner, who provides routine health care and treats many different acute and chronic illnesses conditions including parasites. Dr. Gordillo grew up primarily in Mexico in San Miguel Allende and Puebla and attended the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, International School of Medicine.

    We are a non-profit organization that has been serving the San Miguel community for more than 65 years.  The mission of the Biblioteca is to provide, develop and maintain educational and cultural activities that contribute toward an integrated and harmonious community.  The staff and volunteers work together to provide an inviting community center that provides a lending library, skills training, educational and cultural activities in a safe environment for a multi-generational and a multi-cultural community. The library has thrived and grown through the generous gift of time and money by members of the community, and as is still the case, has relied for the past 50 years on the continued financial support of the people in San Miguel de Allende. The Biblioteca wishes to thank all of the generous persons, groups and companies for their donations of time and money.
