Microteatro San Miguel is a brand-new and different kind of theater space In San Miguel. Located downtown at Reloj 70, between Insurgentes and Pueblito, it offers six different short plays in six separate mini-theaters everyThursday through Sunday. It has a bistro/tapas bar with authentic Spanish tapas and more substantial Spanish dishes..(For the moment, they have beer only—the wine license hasn´t yet come through.
The place is modeled on successful microtheaters in Mexico City, Monterey, Madrid, and Paris among other cities. The fifteen minute plays are in small rooms; some are in English, some in Spanish.
Each play is performed six time per evening, beginning at 6 pm.
Tickets are sold separately or in packages with a discount. Some well-known San Miguel actors take part.
