They served us drinks (margarita and pina colada) without alcohol because we didn’t specifically request it and didn’t tell us until we had finished them. If you do ask for alcohol in them, they’ll charge you separately and it’s 3X the price of the actual mixed drink. Lukewarm beers and music is too loud to have a decent conversation. When we complained about the lack of information, they replied with “yeah we get that complaint often but it’s how we do it here.” They clearly don’t care about their customers. Head to a restaurant or hotel bar instead for cheaper, all inclusive drinks.
La Coronela is an “upscale” cantina. During the day and early evening, La Coronela is usually pretty tame, but we’re putting it on our “adventurous” list because it can get pretty crazy late-night, especially on weekends.
Hours: Tues – Thurs, 2 p.m. to 1 a.m., Fri and Sat 2 p.m. to 3 a.m., Sunday 2 to 11
