Last night my husband and I were privileged to an authentic, fresh and healthy dinner at Orquidea Thai Restaurant on Zacateros 83. We were immediately greeted by Jorge, a friendly English speaking waiter who delighted us all evening with smiles and hospitality. As an avid Thai cook and aficionado I can tell you this is the most authentic food I have ever eaten. The food is prepared with fresh herbs and peppers grown on their own property and brought daily to the restaurant. The dishes may take a bit longer to prepare because they are made fresh to order, but trust me very much worth the wait. The live music was incredible! Not too loud to where you could not have a conversation, just right to we could enjoy a romantic evening.
We enjoyed fresh summer rolls, Thom Yum Soup with Shrimp, and the Cashew Chicken. At the end of our meal we were served lemongrass tea which was the perfect ending to a delicious meal.
A must restaurant to try if you like exotic flavors and fresh, healthy food!

They have incredibly good food and another location on Zacateros near Café Monet. Each restaurant has a different menu so if you’ve been to one you need to try the other. Service sometimes can be slow but that’s because they cook each dish to order. I’ve been regularly going to the original on Zacateros since it opened. The new menu at the new restaurant was a wonderful treat.

I walked by this restaurant many times and didn’t check it out. It is downstairs, Zacateros 83B.
Yesterday I ate there for the first time and it is my new favorite. Fantastic Thai food; plenty of vegetarian choices and of course lots for
carnivores. My tastes buds were tantalized by the amazing flavors, and I am already to go back.
The setting is lovely and the service wonderful. Jorge, the manager couldn’t do enough for us.
If you haven’t eaten there, do give it a try. They are open every day, but Christmas eve.
