We hadn’t been to Mario’s seafood restaurant in quite a while, but Don Day in SMA reminded us to go back. We are so glad we did. Oysters are in season and they were fabulous. Fresh and tasty and better than any I ever had in Boston. Mario said he had fresh crab meat so of course we had a couple of nice tostados as a second course. For mains, we shared an order of swordfish, also in season and delicious, and an order of lobster tails. You get two tails, so it was easy to share. These are rock lobsters, different from Maine lobsters, but excellent.
There is no outdoor seating, but tables are widely spaced and there was no one else there. We will go back again before oyster season ends. The photos attached are of the oysters and a plate with both the swordfish and the lobsters. BTW, the coconut rice was delicious.
Mario’s Mariscos is located at Salida a Celaya #83A. t is open from 11 am to 8 pm seven days a week.
Just had lunch at MARIOS fish restaurant in the plaza on stirling Dickinson. WOW It WAS AWESOME. mahi mahi 4 pieces with garlic grilled with salad. 120 pesos. Service was exceptional. Very casual as they just opened and they ARE planning to home deliver !
Btw: They had lobster tails 2 large with salad and mashed potatoes for 220.

We went to Mario’s a week ago. All of us really enjoyed the various fish
meals ordered. The owner was friendly and able to easily handle a
wisecracker in our group. Give it a try, you’ll like it! His restaurant is
on Ancha, getting close to La Comer but not quite there, and on the right
side if you were coming from Centro.

Wow, I was there as well on Sat. night and have to say the same. I am a foodie and love good flavor, good presentation and good quality. Excellent in all areas! A Definite *must go to* place. Good prices for excellent quality.

Had a fabulous meal at Mario’s Mariscos Frescos Saturday evening . In addition to delicious seafood which was wonderfully prepared , it is a relaxed and fun setting -lots of fishy eccentric folk art . The service was excellent . Our server and the owner Mario were both friendly , and very attentive. Mario is a delight – a passionate foodie whose years of experience are reflected in the food quality – for those who enjoy fresh seafood it is a must ( ceviche , quesadilla, tostados were a dream ) – tuna, marlin, squid, ..)this is now on my favourite list !

Went to Mario Mariscos for lunch and it was fantastic! Delicious food and the best of service. Really great prices and large varied menu.
We’re from Pozos, but have eaten there twice while in SMA and enjoyed greatly. The owner and family take great pride in making this a fun place to eat excellent seafood with attentive and personal service at a very reasonable price. What more can we want?
