Experience at Emilio’s
Emilio’s is our new local restaurant and we were very excited to hear that they were opening close to our home, especially having eaten at one of their other excellent restaurants in Ixtapa.
We have been several times since they opened. The first time we ate there was on a Monday night and we were the only patrons. The next time was a Friday night and every table on the terrace was occupied and they had very good live music. It is early days as they are newly opened and they are gradually getting up to speed so we give them some leeway and don’t expect perfection yet.
We have had their pizzas and they are delicious as well as their huge and inventive salads which were very fresh and also very delicious. We have tried both of their lasagnas (meat and vegetarian) and our favorite was the meat (beef). We had a nice key lime pie (served frozen in the Mexican way!) and a delicious flan. (Have them take out the key lime pie when you arrive so it can defrost before serving if you like it soft as we do.)
As far as parking is concerned, if it is a quiet day/night at the Mirador you could park there or possibly down Piedras Chinas. They are also trying to set up some valet parking so that might be available in the future. Taxis are always an option and worth the effort to be able to dine and enjoy our fabulous view – the best in SMA! 😉
