  • Welcome to Hacienda Guadalupe Boutique Hotel, a magical place located in the heart of San Miguel de Allende. Housed in the old convent of the Guadalupana nuns, Hacienda Guadalupe combines Spanish colonial architecture with sophisticated contemporary design.

The magic begins when you walk through the main doors towards the 400 year old central courtyard that has been converted into a restaurant with it’s majestic bar in the middle. The “portales”, or covered walkways, that surround the courtyard are where one will find small retail stores that sell high end goods like jewelry and regional art as well as the art gallery of the well known Mexican artist Yuri Zatarain.

It does not matter which of our 16 luxurious suites you stay in, they all offer a privileged place to rest and relax. Our well trained staff is there to make sure that your stay with us is an unforgettable and pleasant experience.

To eat in Hacienda Guadalupe is an experience that goes beyond using just your senses. Our restaurant offers the best food in the whole city. You can find specially selected national dishes as well as international delicacies, all made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients, both national and imported.

You are invited to enjoy the food at the bar or in the dining area while also enjoying the music and ambience of the restaurant. There is also the option of eating your meal while watching the sunset from your suite’s balcony with a special bottle of wine. You can grab a drink and an appetizer while relaxing out by the pool.

If you choice is to just enjoy a drink, the hotel bar offers a relaxed and cosmopolitan ambience. We offer a large variety of tequilas and Mezcales, an extensive cocktail menu, all prepared by our expert bartender and an ample selection of wines, both national and imported.

This restaurant is one of the most beautiful restaurants in San Miguel, especially after dark. It is in the large courtyard of an old hacienda that is now a modern boutique hotel owned by the family of the current mayor of San Miguel. The décor is elegant and contemporary, with a beautiful embellished-glass mechanical roof that is opened or closed depending on the weather and the time of day. We also really like their food, which is Mexican haute cuisine (with a Yucatan influence). The clientele tend to be affluent and young-ish (30-50), and the atmosphere, especially on the weekends, is usually fun and celebratory. They occasionally have live music; otherwise they have a great play list on the house sound system. Reservations recommended. (Note: Go on Thursday nights at your own risk! It’s salsa night, which is very popular with retired, single gringas who love to dance and are always looking for partners!)

Hours: Tuesday thru Saturday, 1 to 10 p.m.
