I do not use mail forwarding services, but I regularly have products from the U.S. shipped to me here in San Miguel de Allende. During 2018 I have received probably two dozen shipments using Mini Express, all promptly and without problems. The 17% on invoice fee is reasonable in most cases.

I recently tried Ross McDonald’s Extended Roads delivery service, which charges $3.50 dollars per pound, because my shipment was of high invoice value but had a relatively low weight. I became concerned when weeks after tracking had shown that packages were received by their Laredo office I was unable to get confirmation from Mr. McDonald. I then received just one box of the multiple package shipment, that with several items missing. Another week passed and I received more items, loose, having been removed from original packaging and without shipping invoice. After one month, I began requesting compensation for $141.83 in lost items. Mr. Ross McDonald has not responded to mutiple requests. Extended Roads charges for insurance. I found this business to be unprofessional and deceptive in claims of insured delivery service.
