La Flor del Campo 2021 contest held in SMA

25 young women representing 24 municipalities in the state of Guanajuato, competed this Friday for the crown of the contest “La Flor del Campo 2021”, organized in San Miguel de Allende, by the National Peasant Commission (CNC) through the Secretariat of Women’s Action of the State of Guanajuato and Commujer A. C.

The CNC event was held at a country restaurant located on the Queretaro exit. The competitors presented the most relevant aspects of their municipalities in terms of culture, traditions, tourism, and economy.

The young women also did a short runway show in a ball gown, prior to the elimination round where 5 finalists were selected, who were asked random questions to select the winner.

San Miguel de Allende had two representatives, Valeria González and Laura Ríos; however, the winners were the candidates from the municipalities of Abasolo in the first place, Yuriria in the second place, and Jaral del Progreso in third place.
