In compliance with the prevention, care and containment measures of the Covid-19, there will be no star tour to celebrate “Alborada”. There will be a symbolic fireworks for 10 minutes, in the atrium of the Parish. There will be no pedestrian access and it will be supervised by elements of the Secretary of Public Security.

This year the Alborada will be virtual after the agreement between municipal authorities, makers and participants from the neighborhoods of this iconic cultural and traditional meeting of San Miguel de Allende. It will be broadcast at 3 a.m. and videos of how they celebrated other years will be shown.

The head of Culture and Traditions, Paulina Cadena, held regular meetings with those in charge of organizing the traditional review of La Alborada, the neighborhoods of La Aurora, La Estación and Valle del Maíz.

“The agreement of the suspension is between both parties (…) we can not bring people together; the meeting of the neighborhoods and the tour will not be possible this year, hopefully with much hope and love I hope to resume next year 2021,” said Paulina Cadena.

These decisions were also made with the firework burners, the collaborators of the stars and prudes, from the participating neighborhoods.

There will only be one representative event where only the neighborhoods involved will participate with 5 representatives from each cadre, with 10 minutes of pyrotechnics, supervised by the Secretary of Public Security. There will be no crosswalk.
