Unfortunately, since the severity of the cases are increasing the COVID Screening SMA Team is not able to assist with the testing of healthy individuals who are traveling. We need to prioritize emergencies, people who are sick with the virus or been exposed to the virus

Below is a DO It Yourself (DIY) Guide for you to have all the info and resources needed to be able to get yourselves tested prior to travel

Please, be aware we have had several people who  Asymptomatic test positive for the virus and had to cancel flights. Please, plan accordingly and even if you are getting the antigen tests with results in 10 minutes – one hour we recommend you get 48 hours prior in the unfortunate event you test positive.

Effective midnight on January 7, 2021 (00:00 EST or 05:00 UCT), proof of a negative COVID-19 laboratory test result must be presented to the airline prior to boarding a flight to Canada.

.

Tests must be performed using a COVID-19 molecular test, such as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) test. The test must be taken within 72 hours of the traveller’s scheduled departure to Canada. Other types of tests, such as antigen tests, will not be accepted.

Anyone who receives a negative test result and is authorized to enter Canada must still complete the full, mandatory 14-day quarantine, unless exempted under the Quarantine Act.

Starting 1/26/21 Airlines flying to the States will accept negative results for PCR/NAAT OR Antigen Tests (or proof of having recovered from COVID).  Proof of vaccination does not supersede the testing requirement.
