As part of the reopening of recreational activities in Mexico, the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) announced that 24 archaeological sites will begin operations as of this Sunday, March 21.

After nine consecutive weeks of a decrease in the curve of COVID-19 infections and deaths, the federal government gave the green light to begin the reopening of shopping malls, movie theaters, zoos, bicycle rides and other activities involving social contact.

However, strict hygiene and healthy distance measures must be applied to avoid a new increase of the epidemic in Mexico. Located in 11 states of the country and whose epidemiological conditions or traffic lights have allowed their reopening under the new normality, these are the Archeological Zones that will open their doors this Sunday.
