Children participate in parade in Allende’s honor

    Children participated in the military civic parade in honor of the 253rd anniversary of the birth of Ignacio Allende y Unzaga, military strategist and hero of independence.

    Children from the primary schools Ignacio Allende, Revolución, José María Morelos, Patria y Libertad; the secondary schools Técnica No. 42 and Genaro Almanza participated.

    The activities began in the Jardín Principal, where municipal and educational authorities, the Secretary of National Defense (SEDENA), as well as members of 14 educational institutions at the elementary, middle, and high school levels participated.

    Abigail Noriega Diaz, who is a teacher at the “Ignacio Allende” elementary school, is aware that with activities like these, children show motivation and enjoyment for being at school and living with their classmates, “children enjoy learning in a safe environment such as the schools, proof of this is the encouragement and participation in the event”, she said.

    After the commemorative act, the civic-military parade took place, with the participation of schools of the municipality, civil associations, and rescue corps, which marched through the main streets of the Historic Center, as part of the activities in honor of the 253rd anniversary of the birth of Ignacio Allende.

    Also participating in the activities were schools of higher and higher education such as the Centro de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos (CECyT) Plantel Cabecera Municipal, Instituto Mojica, Preparatoria Ignacio Allende, Universidad de León, Universidad Patria, Universidad Tecnológica de San Miguel de Allende (UTSMA) and the Centro de Estudios Superiores Allende.
