  • MORE COMEDY COMING RIGHT UP

    October 17 & 18
    St. Paul’s Anglican Church

My Narrator is about that little voice inside your head, the one that tells you how to behave and what choices to make.  It’s a one-act play written by Norm Foster, who is often referred to as “Canada’s Neil Simon.”  Light, quick and charming, this romantic comedy with its rapid dialogue and a plot twist will delight you.

Lacy (Clara Dunham) calls that little voice inside her head her inner narrator and it helps her  make decisions  (mostly to stop her from dating undesirable men).  She meets a salesman named Miles (David Galitzky) who likes the idea of a narrator so much, he gets his own.

Not surprisingly, their getting together places the two of them and their respective narrators (played by Barbara Ziff and Howard Bach) in conflict.  This fun play brings something fresh to the world’s most overdone subject—love, while exploring what it’s like to live with a voice that’s trying to change you.

Lights and sound are handled by Patrick Green.  Marthe Fraser directs.

My Narrator will be presented in the Parish Hall at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Calle Cardo 6, Wednesday and Thursday, October 17 & 18.  Tickets will go on sale at 6:45 on a first come, first serve basis.  All ticket holders must be present when the doors open at 7:00 or their seat may be resold.  Performances will start at 7:30 or earlier if the house is full.  Admission is 20 pesos—the best bargain in town!–and correct change is greatly appreciated.
