DreamBox is an educational theater company for school-age children, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Kids are given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a theatrical summer camp. They learn all aspects of theater arts: acting, singing, dancing, and how to create costumes, props, and scenery. On the final day of the program, the children perform a musical show free for the public.

Last July, the organizers of DreamBox came to San Miguel de Allende for the first time, and presented a delightful bilingual musical at the San Miguel Playhouse, with the songs in English and the dialogue in Spanish. Three-fourths of the 40-plus children in the production were indigent Mexican kids — many of them from the Casa Hogar Orphanage — who had their camp tuition paid for by generous sponsors.

DreamBox is returning this year for a show to be presented at 1pm on Friday, July 19, at the San Miguel Playhouse. Boleto City, San Miguel’s premier ticketing company, is issuing the free tickets for the performance, exclusively to subscribers to our email newsletter.

If you click on one of the “Click Here for Free Tickets” buttons in this newsletter, you will be directed to the event page. On the event page itself, the “Get Tickets” link will display a seating chart of the San Miguel Playhouse. Seats that appear in green are still available. All tickets are for specific reserved seats.

There is no charge for tickets, but you may acquire a maximum of two. After you complete your transaction, you will receive, via email, download links for your e-tickets. We recommend that you download and print your own tickets on plain paper. If you are not able to do so, notify us at info@boletocity.com, and we will print them for you. You can retrieve your tickets at the will-call desk of the San Miguel Playhouse starting one hour before the show.

If the show appears completely sold out, you may still get to see it by coming to the theater and putting your name on the standby list at the will-call desk. The San Miguel Playhouse can add extra seats for sold-out events, and there are almost always ticketholders who do not claim their seats by showtime. We recommend you get to the theater early. The will-call desk will open at noon on July 19.

The San Miguel Playhouse is located at Avenida Independencia 82. The theater features free secured parking and taxi concierge service.
