I’m happy to announce that our next Songwriters of San Miguel show will be this coming Thursday, April 25, 8-10pm at The Rabeat (this is where we did our Night of Train Songs show a few weeks back). It’s located at the corner of Orizaba and Ancha de San Antonio, up on the 2nd floor. The club has a full bar and plenty of seating, with a wonderful view downtown.

Performing at this month’s show will be:

–we’re very glad to welcome back the very talented Inamic Gaona Erwin, ex-Mexico City singer/songwriter who we were lucky to have in our concert series about a year ago. Inamic has a wonderful voice and a great jazzy pop sound for his original canciones en Español. You may have seen him doing songs in English and Spanish at Bonds 007 and other venues around town.

–Rob Ramsey, ex-San Antonio banjoist/guitarist and singer/songwriter will be bringing new material and his usual mellifluous voice and mellow sound;

–long-time San Miguel musician and music instructor Sach Rioja will be joining us again, bringing his diverse and buoyant original songs en Español; and

–ex-Austin singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Walter Ehresman will also be bringing new material for the show, as well as playing fretless bass with all the other performers.

Our goal is to provide an ongoing outlet for songwriters in San Miguel in English, Spanish and whatever languages come our way, in an intimate setting.. So we hope you’ll come out and support original live music, to help keep it alive and well in these parts. Hasta luego, and hope to see you on the 25th!
