INIVITATION, San Miguel Salon, Sunday January 16
We are starting at last with the special format Salon, which is 4 sets of 30 minutes with 3 short breaks in between. The gate opens at 5:30pm, the music will start at 6:15.
The program is:
Set 1: Young Mexican singer Angie Ciss with a fabulous voice who accompanies herself on guitar and will be singing Mexican and Latin American songs
Set 2: Flutist Ruben Garcia and guitarist Alfonso Medina, playing Jazz and Blues
Set 3: Timka from Colombia, vibrant voices, guitar and keyboard performing Afro-Colombian Rhythms
Set 4: Mauro Ledesma, probably San Miguel’s premier pianist, playing classical master pieces on the grand piano
The door fee (paid at the door) is $500P and will for 70% benefit the performing musicians and 30% will go to SMA children education nonprofits.
Beverages, wine, beer, water, coffee, and hot tea are free, just visit the bar and let you be served of serve yourself. Feel free to bring your own favorite drink and maybe some snacks. Ice and cups are available at the bar.
The courtyard seats about 50 people and about 20 can be seated on the casita roof terrace which gives an excellent view of the stage downstairs. The casita roof terrace is also an excellent spot for dancing. Don’t forget to visit the 3rd floor roof terrace which has one of the best views of San Miguel. You can reach the top terrace by using the stairs from casita roof or, if needed, with the elevator which is in the main house.

Notes: The San Miguel Salon is a “listening room” which means you should avoid loud conversations and frequent walking around while the musicians are performing. If you want to have conversations during the music, please find a spot on the property (at the back of the casita roof, 3rd floor terrace, casita living or dining room etc.). The bathrooms are in the casita bedroom and in the main house kitchen. Just follow the signs.
