  • Los Kookarachos: A blues-rock-pop project Los Kookarachos is a three-piece collaboration of seasoned musicians and San Miguel residents Paul Segal, Dean Rossi and Bill Belasco performing pop, rock and soul favorites from the ’50s through ’80s.

The Kooks perform upbeat classics by The Beatles, Chuck Berry, Sam and Dave, Ray Charles and many others. Put on your boating shoes and get ready to get up and rock something!

    Los Kookarachos are:

Paul Segal (Guitar/Bass/Vocals) is originally from Los Angeles, where he learned to play guitar at age 10 listening to Kingston Trio records. Dean Rossi (Bass/Guitar/Vocals) Originally from Boston, Dean lived in Colorado for 40 years and has been in San Miguel for 2 years. He has been playing bass since he was 18 years old and has worked in many projects and bands playing jazz, blues, country, folk, R&B, rock and pop.

Bill Belasco (Percussion) Also from San Francisco, Bill Belasco started playing drums at the age of three. He played in various school groups and orchestras until he went on tour with a Brass Rock band called The Graduates. Bill was born to exceptional teachers George Marsh and Tony Williams. He studied timbales with Louie Romero and Afro-Cuban theory with Michael Spiro.
