Chorale San Miguel was founded to present concerts in large format, with full vocal and orchestral forces, with masterpieces of four centuries. The Chorale is composed of a central group of mostly professional singers, and augmented by local and regional participants, including Coro de la Opera, Youth Choir of Celaya (Conservatory) and orchestra musicians of professional ensembles in Guanajuato and Querétaro. The artistic director, Malcolm Halliday, shares leadership roles Mauro Ledesma, from the Opera Choir.
On Saturday, December 21 at 4 pm, the Coral will perform the Messiah by Handel, with a baroque orchestra of authentic size, a complete choir and soloists. . The concert is an event of reserved seats in the Third Order Chapel, a magnificent chapel with excellent acoustics.
The chapel is adjacent to the Church of San Francisco (corner of San Francisco and Juarez).
