Music, a languaje that it is not verbal itself, is very effective to induce different emotional frames of mind that can be used as part of a therapy and therefore induce the change in frequency and intensity of behaviors that can be part of a therapeutic goal. Music as an expression has different forms in which we can approach it, mostly by listening but also by performing it and improvising with sounds, just to become part of the pulse, rhythm and melody. Music therapy is a form of psicotherapy in which we use the sounds in all forms (that may be musical or not) as a form of self expression and communication, analysis and vinculation. Music therapy can be practiced individually or in a group since an early age or in adults. Music therapy is a sistematic process of intervention in which the therapist is helping the patient to mantain or to improve his health using sounds and music experiences as the main forces of change. Music therapy has been recognized internationally as a profession and it has developed different approaches to improve the patient’s health. The Nordoff-Robbins (UK-US) method, the GYM (guided imaginery and music) or the Plurimodal method, among others are used to our days. In this ocasion we are introducing the use of drums and voice as part of our session, to discover ourselves internal pulse and rhytms and to transfer them to the drums and then talk in loud voice without words.
