  • Sound poems will be an evening of piano and violin with repertoire by Silvertre Reveultas, Alexis Aranda, Fredrico Ibarra, Edvard Grieg, Frank Horvat, among others.

    Paulina Derbez (violin) lives in Canada. She studied violin in Lugano, Switzerland, at the Swiss Conservatory with Carlos Chiarappa and at the D’Archi Vivaldi Academy with Susan Holme. She has been a FONCA fellow on three occasions.

    Araceli Salazar (piano) was the first-place winner in the Puebla Conservatory contest. In 1985 and 1987 she won the second prize at the BUAP National Piano Competitions. In 1993 she was a fellow of the National Council for Culture and the Arts and she represented Mexico in the 10th Edition of the International Piano Competition in Porto, Portugal.

    Tickets are $50. Advance at the BA office beginning Tuesday August 2. Also, at the door day or the event.
