Cervantino Festival Comes to San Miguel de Allende - October 24, 2019

In the framework of the 47th edition of the Festival Internacional Cervantino (FIC), San Miguel de Allende will host three free musical events on 16, 21 and 24 October.
From the appointment as ‘American Capital of Culture 2019’, the Municipal Government in coordination with the direction of Culture and Traditions under the motto “One Capital, Many Worlds” different events are held for the people of San Miguel, joining the FIC on this occasion .
From Peru, with traditional mixed music and with black humor content, ‘La Lá’ will be presented on October 16, in the Old Plaza de Armas, about 7 p.m.
On October 21, at 7 pm, in San Antonio, Elida Almeida will be presented, direct from Cape Verde, Africa; which will delight the people of San Miguel and make them enjoy a fusion of varied rhythms.
The Blanche Lady is the project of the Cuban singer, flutist and percussionist Yaite Ramos, who is heiress of the oratories of the Afro-Cuban rumba, which will be presented on October 24 at the Old Plaza de Armas, about 7 o’clock the night.
Throughout the year, the Directorate of Culture and Traditions will organize several events, in order to activate public spaces and regenerate the social fabric of the municipality through arts and culture in general.
