  • Santa Claire (Hirsch) lives in New York but grew up in San Miguel. She is working with famed cabaret star Marilyn Maye on a cabaret show that will premiere this fall in New York. Her most recent performance at SMA was in Wendy Bichel’s new musical “Bikers in Camelot,” where she played the lead role of “Holly.”

Santa Claire has performed in several sold-out cabaret shows in San Miguel since she was a teenager. In New York, Santa has sung at “Don’t Tell Mama”, a famous cabaret club, as the lead singer in Bill Solly’s “Solly’s Follies”, as well as a cabaret show. She has also sung at  Birdland and Bond 45 cabaret clubs. She recently appeared on two songs on the Grammy-nominated album Chip Deffaa’s Say It With Music: Irving Berlin.

Most recently, Santa’s one-man show Two Worlds Colliding in New York at the Tongue in Cheek Solo Festival, directed by Jake Lipman.  She also performed in Bedlam Theatre’s Equity production of King Lear at the Bristol Riverside Theatre in Pennsylvania.

Malcolm Halliday has become increasingly involved in the musical life of the San Miguel community. He has been artistic director and president of the St. Michael’s Chorale since its founding shortly before the start of Covid-19. He has performed in the United States and Europe, both as a soloist and in collaboration with singers, instrumentalists and orchestra. He has presented concerts with historic pianos from museums and private collections, using period instruments in concerts at Jordan Hall and Faneuil Hall in Boston, Mechanics Hall in Worcester, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and other venues in the United States.
