Chilean singer-songwriter Benjamín Walker visits San Miguel de Allende for the first time to perform with his band at the Teatro Santa Ana.

Benjamin Walker‘s music is nourished on Latin American folklore, pop rock and indie folk, always with the acoustic guitar as the central axis.

At the age of 21 he recorded his first album called “Felicidad”, publishing it in 2014.

By July 2017, Walker publishes his second album “Brotes”, produced by his colleague Javier Barría. He closed the year as the opening act for the tour of the Argentinean musician Pedro Aznar in celebration of his 35-year career.

On September 20, 2018, the Latin Recording Academy, Latin Grammy, announces the nominees for its 19th annual Awards, highlighting Benjamin Walker in the Best New Artist category.

In February 2019, he participated in the Viña del Mar Song Festival, representing Chile in the folk genre with the song “Y Arderán”, obtaining 2nd place. During that year, he began his internationalization plan, traveling to promote his work to Mexico, opening for Carlos Rivera at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City and also for Silvana Estrada at the Teatro Esperanza Iris.

For 2020, he launches the album Brotes (Florecen), and begins to present advances of his 3rd album, starting with October 2021, together with the Argentinian duo Perotá Chingo, then he released the single “Quiero Verte Hoy”, together with the singer-songwriter from Tijuana Vanessa Zamora; in June the song “La Vuelta de los Días”, waiting for the album that is expected by the end of this year.

Benjamin Walker is part of an incipient music scene, raised from self-management, but above all from the collective impulse to create mystique around songs that represent a new generation of musicians and therefore the artistic endeavor of the country. You cannot miss this concert on his way through San Miguel de Allende, within his international tour where he will visit 8 cities in Mexico, in addition to his dates in Chile and Argentina.

The Teatro Santa Ana is an intimate 91-seat theater, located inside the Biblioteca Publica. For over 20 years, the Teatro Santa Ana has been a premiere venue for theatrical productions, musical concerts, films and conferences in Centro historico San Miguel de Allende.
