When we think of women in jazz, we often only think of the incredible female singers, such as Billie Holiday. Indeed, the role of female composers in jazz music is often obsured. The objective of this concert is showcase the compositions written by San Miguel’s pianist SHARON BERCUTT, who has contributed to the Jazz repertorie for over four decades.
The music will be performed by San Miguel’s premier jazz trio The Azande Drummin’ Cummings Trio, featuring GABRIEL HERNANDEZ (pianist), ANTONIO LOZOYA (bass), CAMILLE GARCIA (accordion) and AZANDE CUMMINGS (drums).
