    Summer is in full swing and traveling is a great way to enjoy it to the fullest. Wine tourism, which takes place in wine regions to learn more about the wines produced in them and the surrounding environment, is a segment that has been positioned and consolidated in recent years.

    For this reason, the Ministry of Tourism of Guanajuato presented the Program of the Fiestas de las Vendimias 2022 to be held in this state from Saturday, July 23 to Sunday, October 2.

    For more than two months the municipalities of Comonfort, Dolores Hidalgo CIN (Cradle of National Independence), Leon, San Diego de la Union, San Felipe, San Miguel de Allende, and Silao, will be the 7 destinations where the Vendimias experiences will be lived in the state.

    Guanajuato Grape Harvest Festival Calendar 2022
    The program of Vendimias 2022 is vast, you can enjoy the spectacle of grape treading, wine tasting, live music, tours, tasting of their labels, workshops, traditional cuisine, pre-Hispanic ritual, a blessing of the harvest, and much more.

    ♦  July 30 and 31 in Dolores Hidalgo CIN: First Wine Festival.

    ♦  July 30 in San Diego de la Unión: First Wine Tasting at the El Raco Vineyard.

    ♦  August 6 in San Felipe: First Harvest Festival “Viñedos Pájaro Azul”.

    ♦  August 13 in San Miguel de Allende: Noche Bacanal Romano, Harvest Festival at Dos Búhos Vineyard.

    ♦  August 20 in Dolores Hidalgo: Second San Bernardino Grape Harvest Festival.

    “Guanajuato is a land of wines”
    This state in the Bajío area has become one of the most important wine producers in the region and the country. It has:

    ♦  More than 460 hectares were harvested.

    ♦  Eight of its municipalities are wine producers.

    ♦  135 Guanajuato labels that have won more than 150 awards in renowned competitions.

    ♦  It has 45 winemaking projects.

    ♦  25 wine tourism projects.

    ♦  Its annual production is close to 671 thousand bottles.

    ♦  It has also hosted the CMB Mexico Selection, being the only one in the country that has received it twice.

    For Vendimias 2022, an attendance of 14,210 people is expected, with ticket revenues of approximately 23.5 million pesos. The economic revenue of the total number of attendees in the destination is estimated at 18.3 million pesos.
