    October is the month we celebrate the 2nd anniversary of Casa Papaya San Miguel, the month that Lee, Richard, Noah and Bailey the dog moved to San Miguel full time.  And we’re so glad we did!  To celebrate we’ve painted Casa Papaya to represent the Papaya that it so wants to be.  Also, we’re bringing back some of the most loved Chef’s Dinners of the past 2 years.  So please join us and celebrate this wonderful part of our lives with us.  

    Thursday October 24th:
     Our Famous Dim Sum and Asian Banquet

    Cocktail on the Roof with an assortment of Chinese Dumplings, including:

    Steamed Pork Belly Buns, Shrimp and pork Siu Mai, Vegetable Pot Stickers, Crispy Radish Cake

    Seated Dinner

     1st Course: Cantonese Roast Duck Noodle Soup with wontons

    2nd Course:  Asian Greens with Garlic and Sesame, Szechuan Ma Po Tofu

    Dessert:  Ginger ice cream in a coconut cookie cup with fruits in ginger syrup

      If you haven’t yet tried Casa Papaya for sup, you’re in for a treat. The hosts, Richard and Lee, are beyond gracious and welcoming, and the cooking is top-flight.

      A group of us met the other night for their every-other-week Pizza Sundays. Home-made sausage … vegetarian with more richness than you can imagine … and the kind of crust that only comes out of (an amazing) wood-fired oven. They also offer twice-monthly Chef’s Dinners, with fancier fare. We’re planning to attend the next one.

      These guys have spent a lifetime in restaurants, and it shows. They’re located on the same road as Sapasma, less than a quarter-mile from the turn-off; I forget the number, but there’s a blue door and a small sign. Their website is casapapayasanmiguel dot com.
