The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is inspired by the first novel in the trilogy by Swedish writer Stieg Larsson, which became a worldwide bestseller.
The writer Mikael Blomkvist is sentenced for defaming an important businessman through his current political and economic magazine, ‘Millennium’, which he directs together with his partner Erika Verger.
Taking advantage of the situation, Henrik Vanger, ex-director of the Vanger Corporation, offers him a deal: write a book about his empire and his extended family and investigate the disappearance in 1966 of Vanger’s niece, Harriet, who has been left for dead. . Blomkvist agrees and will have the help of a famous hacker with a dark past, surly manners and gothic attire who seeks to plot her own revenge, Lisbeth Salander. Together they will discover that nothing is what it seems in the apparently distinguished family of Vanger and that the ghosts of old Europe are still present as a stigma that corrodes from their very entrails.
