Hello friends! In Obeah Vinyl Cafe we are doing Cinema Fridays. For this 16th of November we are showing Embrace the Serpent.
The film tells two stories featuring Karamakate, an Amazonian shaman and last survivor of his tribe. He travels with two scientists to look for the rare sacred plant called yakruna. The film was inspired by the travel diaries of Theodor Koch-Grunberg and Richard Evans Schultes, and dedicated to lost Amazonian cultures.
We are trying to support any kind of cultural event so it is free entrance but limited occupancy.
