  • Webinar with Senator Tim Kaine
Democrats Abroad San Miguel de Allende

    May 08, 2020
    at 8am – 9:30am Eastern (7:00 am in SMA)

I would like to invite you to join Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) on May 8th at 8am (DC time) as he talks with Democrats Abroad about the incredibly crucial 2020 elections.  Senator Kaine is a former Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia and currently serves as one of Virginia’s two Democratic Senators. He is a former Chair of the Democratic National Committee and our Party’s nominee for Vice President in 2016.  He is a long-time friend of Democrats Abroad and will be speaking with us about how we can take back the Senate in 2020. Senator Kaine’s conversation with us will be a virtual Zoom Webinar. Click here to RSVP for the Webinar.

The Webinar will start at 8 AM Washington, DC time (morning in Americas, afternoon in EMEA, and evening in Asia/Pacific).  Participants will be able to email questions for Senator Kaine prior to the Webinar and post questions in the Zoom Q&A box during the Webinar.

While there is no donation requirement to attend, we hope you’ll consider a donation to support our 2020 GOTV campaign. In 2018, we tripled the overseas American turnout, and with your help we can do the same in 2020! A donation of $10 will help us reach 250 potential voters!  Even if you can’t join the Webinar, you can show your support by clicking here and making a donation for this event.

Thank you for your support – we look forward to you joining the Webinar with Senator Kaine! Click here to RSVP.

What is Democrats Abroad? Democrats Abroad is the official arm of the US Democratic Party for Americans living outside the United States and its territories. We hold seats on the Democratic National Committee and send a voting delegation to our party’s national convention. Founded in 1964, Democrats Abroad has full country committees in 50 countries and has members in 160 countries around the world. The official name of the Democrats Abroad organization is the Democratic Party Committee Abroad (DPCA). DPCA is treated as a state party by the Democratic National Committee, the ruling body of our party. Therefore, the country committees are the equivalent of a county within that state. San Miguel is the largest chapter of Democrats Abroad in Mexico. We want our members to know, that we are here in support of our membership and mission, to help U.S. citizens living abroad stay informed and exercise their right to vote and will continue to do so in future U.S. elections. We also offer fun, social events, as well as opportunities to participate as a volunteer each year. San Miguel is lucky to have a vibrant, diverse community of active U.S. citizens. We invite you to join Democrats Abroad at https://www.democratsabroad.org/join.
