On every flight I take across the world, flight attendants or video demos show the oxygen mask and give the speech most of us know so well ourselves…

“In case of pressure loss in the cabin, put on your own mask first before assisting others.” Why would we do that and not assist our loved ones first, such as a child or partner.

You simply can’t help others for very long if you don’t help yourself first.

In other words, you can’t pour from an empty glass.

Are you doing this somewhere in your life?

Sacrificing your opportunity of becoming for your family, or your job, or your business?

Not making time to develop self because every minute goes to someone or something else, with the intent to help them, is not helping them in the long term.

Your help won’t do much good if YOU are pessimistic, YOU are always tired, YOU are sick, YOU are not leading by example, YOU have to put on your oxygen mask first on the plane and in life.
