    Join Roberto Buchanan in his studio surrounded by nature in San Miguel de Allende countryside for a ring making workshop and he will help you create something completely unique to take home at the end of the workshop.

    WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
    -Basic theories and essential techniques of jewelry making, through the creation of your sterling silver ring (just metal, no gems or stones).
    -How to plan a jewelry project from the beginning to end.
    -Safe practices and correct use of the basic tools and machines of a jewelry studio.
    -Self expression through metal jewelry making.
    -Metal alchemy.

    CONTENTS
    METALS: Metal properties. Alloys. Surface formulas.
    THE MELTING POT: Prepraring the melting pot and melting of the metal.
    TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES: Basics of sawing, measuring, annealing, soldering and filing.

    FINISHING TECHNIQUES: Decorative textures and polishing the final piece.

    WHAT WILL THE WORKSHOP INCLUDE?
    – Grupal session of 4 hours, in small groups of three people, to allow social distancing.
    – I will work with you as a group and also individually to support and guide you through your learning.
    – I will supply all the tools and equipment needed for jewelry making, and 10 g of sterling silver to make your projects.
    – I will provide you a healthy snack, with food and drinks in an open area.
    *We encourage you to bring a sketchbook to keep notes, handouts, images and designs.
    *Please, wear closed shoes for health and safety reasons.

    $1000 mxn (usd 50)
    *To reserve your space, 50% payment is required. Please, send me your payment receipt.

    WHERE?
    The workshop will take place in a rural area, 15 minutes away from san Miguel de Allende downtown, surrounded by nature and with lots of parking area. You will need transportation to come (not included, but we can help you with trustable Taxi or Uber contacts) I will share with you specific location with your inscription.
