Event Category: Dance Classes
Tango therapy with Christina Johnson and Ezequiel Agreda
Classes begin on December 8, 2020
For information and registration, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Students MUST PRE-REGISTER for class as the class size is limited.
This class explores the musicality of tango and uses exercises for rejuvenating and invigorating the body and mind. Contrary to many forms of exercise that exacerbate joint pain, tire the back, and are repetitive and tedious; Argentine tango is always exciting and creative. We can begin tango as a therapeutic exercise and continue to enjoy it as a dance with more refinement and elegance over the years. The class especially benefits those who have problems with balance, or have had surgeries or accidents that have limited your mobility and enjoyment of moving your body.
A mask is needed for class. Students will be the permissible distance apart. We will not be doing exercise in couples unless you already have a chosen partner for class, non gender specific. The tango exercises are of different levels of complexity, and may easily be done solo. A barre will be in class to help with balance.
200 MX$ per person for class or 800 MX$ for all five classes.
Studio: Zacateros 21, on the second floor above the shop. A parking lot is available on Pila Seca. Wear shoes that slide ( leather soles) or bring a pair of slippery socks! Sandals are not safe. Wear comfy clothes, better in leggings than a skirt.
