      Several “amigas” and I left the cold US and descended on a friend who has been a resident of beautiful and warm San Miguel for 18 years. During our visit we took a cooking class with Chef David. We learned a lot about the history of cooking in Mexico; the origin and uses of the native tools and ingredients (the are 67 types of native chilies from which 300+ hybrids have been created) and we had great fun cooking, then eating seven kinds of salsas, soup & mole. Well worth the time and investment.
