  • SANMIGUELENSES UNIDOS, a citywide security organization, invites all San Miguel de Allende residents to its next general meeting.

    DATE: Thursday, June 13, 2019
    TIME: 6:00-7:30 p.m.
    PLACE: Hotel Posada de La Aldea, Ancha de San Antonio #15

    GUEST SPEAKER: The invited speaker (name withheld) is a third-generation Sanmiguelenses whose close relative was recently murdered. Personally impacted by the current violence gripping San Miguel, she will share her personal reactions and those of her family’s in the aftermath of their loss, and tell us how the experience has changed the direction of her life. She said, “I grew up in San Miguel and always witnessed these kinds of events from afar, as an outsider. But now the situation is very personal. Yet, I want to let people know that in spite of this, I believe there is still hope and that by helping one another we can turn the tide and avoid more violence and crime.”

    David Bossman, SANMIGUELENSES UNIDOS founder and former president, will introduce the speaker. Following the talk there will be question and answer period.

    A brief business meeting and the election of new SU officers will precede the talk.

    All are welcome; although SMU encourages membership, one does not need to be a member of the organization to attend the meeting. Please share this information and bring friends and neighbors.

    NOTE: There is free parking in the hotel lot. The meeting will be conducted in English with Spanish translation available.
