Medical Emergencies – What’s Your Plan?

As an expat, you already know that medical care is significantly less expensive here in Mexico than it is in the United States. However, like in the U.S. — prices can vary quite a bit depending on the doctor, the type of procedure, and the region of the country. Routine medical treatment in San Miguel de Allende can range from mediocre to very good depending where you go and your local doctor.
But what happens if there is a medical emergency? Do you have a plan? For many of us, it’s comforting to know that we can be medically evacuated by air from SMA to the hospital of your choice in the USA or Canada. There, you will receive care at a facility you’re familiar with, under the direction of physicians you trust. The Midday Rotary Club of San Miguel de Allende welcomes a local expert that will provide valuable information about medical evacuations. Sarah Ash is team leader for Sky Med Mexico. Ms. Ash will provide valuable information that will help you deal with a medical emergency, how to set up an evacuation plan, and what services and features you need to look for in a plan.Join us on Tuesday June 11th for this highly informative presentation with Sarah Ash as the midday club of San Miguel de Allende presents: Medical Emergencies – What’s your Plan? We’re located at Cafeteria San Miguel Essen, next to the yellow caboose on Sterling Dickenson. Doors open at 9AM with an optional breakfast for $100 pesos per person. The presentation will begin at 9:30 and is free. Ms. Ash’s presentation is not an endorsement of any particular medical evacuation service.
