Leo and Family by Daniel Brennan, 1970
    Min. Bid $850
    Est. Value $1700

American Artist Daniel Brennan (1929–1989), originally from Kansas, migrated to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in 1964. Living in Mexico transformed Mr. Brennan’s work from his classically trained academic style to the vibrant romantic. It is not difficult to be romantic in San Miguel de Allende. The music, dress, flora, Mercados, and fiestas–all exploding with color influenced Mr. Brennan’s emerging romantic style–freeing his creativity.

“When I came to Mexico, I began painting with my own voice. The influence of Mexico took over gradually. I tried to see Mexico through the eyes of the children, for seen that way, it becomes a very special, magical place.”

This original oil painting was featured in the exclusive Southwest Art Magazine, September 1981 edition. Southwest Art offered this description of this painting;Copy of Southwest Art Magazine included with the painting.

Size: 67” x 57″ finished size in wood frame.

    PLEASE SHARE YOUR ABUNDANCE

We believe that a safe place where children can gather and be guided without judgement is a place where their curiosity and creativity can have no limits. We believe that this kind of environment stimulates thought, imagination and the potential to find liberation from poverty, ignorance and oppression; and can lead to personal pride, strength of character and the desire to build a cooperative community.
