a *NEW!* LIFE DRAWING classDo you avoid including people in your travel sketches?
Would you like to learn how to draw figures quickly and with confidence?
Not sure about the basic proportions of the human head and body?
Well, I’m here to help!
Starting on June 5,
I will offer a weekly 2-hour class in
drawing & sketching the figure,
with live clothed models.
Traditional life drawing classes provide a NUDE model,
but if you are an urban sketcher or
making a travel journal, you’re much more likely to see
(and draw) people wearing clothes.
So, our models will be dressed,
to give you the opportunity to practice
drawing ordinary people wearing
everyday items of apparel.
*These classes are open to all levels of skill. *
*Take one or more classes, on a drop-in basis. *
I will provide instruction and demonstrations,
with a focus on a variety of subjects from week to week:
action poses, clothing/drapery, portraits/caricature,
working with toned paper, etc.
When and Where:
Wednesdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
Starting date June 5.
Come at 10am to socialize, have a light snack.
Bring your own supplies (dry media or watercolor, only, please.)
Suggested: 18 x 24” newsprint pad and conte crayon
Easels and work tables provided.
Fee: 300 pesos per session, payable in class.
